The Level 1 Certification
Simply put, you get to build big rockets! A rocket certification allows you to fly what the FAA designates as a "high power" rocket.
Why do I Need a Certification?
- A certification gives you the opportunity to build larger and larger rockets.
- Shows employers you are actively and successfully completing relevant projects relevant to your career.
- Able to participate in some competitions as a more active team member.
FAQ
Who can get an L1?
Anyone over 18 is eligible to become a member of the TRA or NAR. Jr certifications are available for those 14 and up through NAR.
Does Level 1 Rockets give certifications?
No, only the National Association of Rocketry and the Tripoli Rocketry Association give certifications. Nilsen Hobbies LLC (dba Level 1 Rockets) has no affiliation with either NAR or TRA.
Can you get a certification outside the United States?
Yes! Amateur rocketry is a growing community. Check out TRA for international prefects near you!
